Three Nigerians Move up In July PSA World Rankings


Three Nigerians are in the squash first 300 ranking for men and women, published on Sunday- July 1st by the Professional Squash Association (PSA).
Nigeria’s No 1, Babatunde Ajagbe, who was 228 in June move eleven places in the rankings to 217.
The 31-year-old, who is tie with Mexican Allan Nunez Zuno on the PSA July rankings is still far from his highest world ranking of 144, which he achieved in December 2014.
Abdulrahaman Yusuf maintain his 262th position on the rankings, while U.S based, Adewale Amao moved up one spot from 279 in June to 278.
In the women category, Yemisi Olatunji made it to the top 200 ranking.
The 27-year-old, who is the only Nigeria women on PSA World rankings move up one spot from 178 in June to currently occupy the 177th position.
She shares the spot with Hong Kong, Carmen Lee.
Olatunji achieved her best world ranking of 148 in January 2017.
On the global scene, Egyptian players once again dominate the PSA World Ranking for both men and women, as eight out of 20 names in the men’s rankings are Egyptians, while there are six Egyptians in the women’s Top 20.
