FCT squash boss targets success
The new Chairman of the FCT Squash Association Edem Selong has promised to work towards making squash a popular sport in the country.
The former national table tennis star, who was the Vice President of the Nigeria Squash Federation for eight years, said his aim was to use sports as “a tool to break political frontiers locally and internationally.”
“It also takes a lot of our youths off the streets and check their restiveness,” Selong said.
“Squash is a well-loved game played by the low and high in the society. I’m convinced that as a team, we can make a huge difference – which will be seen and felt by all.”
Selong vowed to help FCT build a formidable squash team. “Our immediate task is to groom and present a formidable team for the NSF slated for December 6 to 16 in Abuja,” he stated.
