National No. 1 Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan (pic) has ended his 21-month title drought by bagging the Manitoba Open squash championships in Winnipeg, Canada.
The world No. 42, who also finished as runner-up at the Montreal
Open earlier this month, capped a successful week by beating world No.
33 and top seed Campbell Grayson of New Zealand 11-6, 7-11, 11-6, 11-4
in the final on Sunday (March 18).
The win marks Nafiizwan's 11th Professional Squash Association
(PSA) Tour title but only his first since the HKFC International triumph
in May 2016.
The victory will also definitely boost the 31-year-old's confidence
ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia next month.
Nafiizwan will lead the Malaysian men's team that also comprises Ng
Eain Yow, Ivan Yuen, Mohd Syafiq Kamal and Sanjay Singh Chal.
