Women’s Squash Headed to CSA National Team Championships

Senior captain Lucy Bostwick and the rest of the Panthers open play on Friday against Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m.
The Middlebury women's squash team has earned the No. 7 seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming CSA National Team Championships to be played at Harvard in the Murr Center. The Panthers, ranked 15th overall, will take on 10th-ranked Dartmouth in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. and will continue to play on both Saturday and Sunday to determine their overall finish.
The Panthers enter the weekend with an 11-8 record and a third-place finish at the NESCAC Tournament earlier this month. After posting a 2-1 mark in December, Middlebury rattled off five victories in six matches during the first part of January before running into a slew of nationally-ranked foes. The Panthers played Dartmouth in the final match of December, dropping an 8-1 decision here in the squash center.
Leading Middlebury into the tournament will be senior captain Lucy Bostwick. This winter, Bostwick has tallied an 8-9 mark mainly in the second spot of the lineup.
