Weekend RoundUp: Khan and Villard Clinch Malaysian Squash Tour

Pakistan’s World No.127 Asim Khan and France’s World No.72 Enora Villard sealed the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, at the Malaysian Squash Tour I over the weekend.
Khan saw off competition from compatriot Syed Ali Mujtaba Shah Bokhari – who came all the way through qualifying to reach the final – to clinch the PSA M5 title in 48 minutes.
Khan took the first two games before Bokhari tried to battle back in the third, however, Khan saw out the victory by an 11-4, 11-4, 7-11, 11-5 scoreline to win his second title on the PSA World Tour.
Meanwhile, tournament top seed Villard overcame India’s Sunayna Kuruvilla in the women’s final as the 24-year-old sealed her maiden PSA World Tour title with a 3-1 victory in 41 minutes.
