2016 Men’s Qatar Classic semi-final: Mohamed ElShorbagy v Nick Matthew
Defending champion Mohamed ElShorbagy was staring down the barrel of defeat in this tense clash against three-time World Champion Nick Matthew.
‘The Wolf’ had produced a masterclass to take a two-game lead, with ElShorbagy forced to pull off something special to reach his third successive final in Qatar.
2016 Men’s Qatar Classic RD1: Tarek Momen v Paul Coll
Egypt’s Tarek Momen and New Zealand’s Paul Coll went toe-to-toe in this high-octane 101-minute encounter.
With the scores poised at two games apiece, it all came down to the fifth game to decide which player would secure their place in the next round in this nail-biting match.
2015 Men’s Qatar Classic quarter-final: Gregory Gaultier v Karim Abdel Gawad
France’s Gregory Gaultier and Egypt’s Karim Abdel Gawad clashed in this quarter-final encounter.
The ‘French General’ was seeded second at the tournament but was forced to fightback from 2-0 down against a tough Gawad.
2015 Men’s Qatar Classic quarter-final: Ryan Cuskelly v Miguel Angel Rodriguez
Colombia’s Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Australia’s Ryan Cuskelly met in this epic quarter-final encounter at the 2015 Qatar Classic.
Cuskelly had come through the qualifying stages to secure his place in the main draw, whilst Rodriguez was World No.5 and enjoying some of the best squash of his career.
The Colombian took the first two games before Cuskelly turned the game into a real battle in this 88-minute match.
2013 Men’s Qatar Classic final: Mohamed ElShorbagy v Nick Matthew
There was drama aplenty as ElShorbagy and Matthew clashed in the 2013 final of the Qatar Classic.
Both players traded points as the momentum swung back and forth during this tense encounter. With the scores level at 2-2, it all came down to a fifth to decide who would seal the illustrious World Series title.
